CTC 's decades of plating chemical research have yielded a number of special alloys whose color, durability and reflectivity make them ideal and cost-effective substitutes for far more expensive or legally restricted metals such as rhodium, nickel, and black chromium.

CTC -B Black Alloy Plating System

With its strong deposition properties, high corrosion resistance and three adjustable levels of elegant hematite finish available, this CTC-developed alloy provides the perfect antiqued finish for almost any metal formulation. It outshines far more expensive black chromium or rhodium systems, and has better fade resistance than black nickel. Comes with 3 brighteners.

CTC-AF White Bronze Nickel-Free Systems

The use of nickel in jewelry plating has become a major issue due to health concerns. Nickel content is already regulated in Europe and other areas may follow the lead. Nickel-Free solution is a tin/copper alloy, which provides the same outstanding hardness and uniform white brilliance as nickel-bearing solutions.

CTC-Rh Imitation Rhodium

This system has been carefully formulated to provide the same look and feel as natural rhodium, and it has a higher resistance to tarnishing and corrosion than does silver.
